BBC staff have always been very Left-wing, but they used to avoid letting it show. That all changed in 2014, first with climate change, then trans, then anything 'Right-wing'. It's been a disaster, says Iain Macwhirter.

IPSC Fundraiser: A Night at the Dogs

category dublin | miscellaneous | event notice author Tuesday June 15, 2010 21:42author by IPSC - IPSC Report this post to the editors

Variety is the spice of life and we're all looking for something different. For those of you who have not yet heard, the IPSC is delighted to invite you to the IPSC Fundraising night at the dogs in Harold's Cross Greyhound Stadium on Tuesday, June 29th. We're hoping for it to be an opportunity for our supporters and their friends to gather for a night out with a difference - food, flutter and craic - with the aim of helping us to fight for the rights of Palestinians.

Date(s): 29 Jun 2010

Time(s): 6:30PM

Area: Dublin

Venue: Harold's Cross Greyhound Track

Doors open at 6:30pm and the first of 11 races is at 7.55pm. For those of you that want to see it through to the end, the final race will be at 10:25pm. The stadium restaurant is also available for advance bookings (smaller snacks will also be available from the bar). The IPSC will be holding a Buster Draw on the night, where one of you will win €500.

Tickets for the evening cost €10 and must be booked in advance. If you're planning to attend, Iíd ask you to please pick up your tickets as soon as possible, as we will not be able to sell them at the door on the night and we want to avoid a last minute rush. We would also ask that you pass this invite on to any friends/family that you feel would be interested in attending.

Tickets are available now from the IPSC office on Dame Street (Tel:01 6770253). Tickets will also be available at the AGM and the next Dublin branch meeting. For enquiries about the evening, or if you are unable to collect tickets in advance, please email fundraising@ipsc.ie.

We look forward to seeing you there.

I haven't been checking in here too much lately, so have only come across this thread now. I must say that I am saddened to see the IPSC organise such a fundraiser. Greyhound racing is a cruel practice, and there are countless horror stories about the fate of unwanted greyhounds. Shame on you for advocating this.
