Jump To Comment: 1Last night's reading with Micheal O Siadhail was a tremenduous success, giving us the largest audience (full house) to attend one of our events at Galway's Imperial Hotel. Our thanks to the hotel and to all who helped in advertising the reading, including The Galway Advertiser, Indymedia Ireland, Galway Independent, Connacht Sentinel, The Irish Times; and Poetry Ireland and The Arts Council for their funding support. Most especially, our thanks to everyone who turned up to the event. It was indeed heartening to see that, in spite of inexplicable numerous attempts to undermine the Western Writers' Centre - even at City Council level - prominent Aosdána members, local writers and others who enjoyed O Siadhail's work turned up. Thank you one and all.
