Biden's team was still obliviously tweeting his resolve to fight on hours after he had decided to step down. So was the matter taken out of his hands? It has all the signs of an opportunistic palace coup, says Eugyppius.

Fianna Fáil No 'Republican Party'

category armagh | miscellaneous | press release author Saturday December 20, 2008 21:59author by Richard Walsh - Republican Sinn Féinauthor email tiocfaidh at btinternet dot comauthor phone +44-7835 620 592 / +353-87 261 8603 Report this post to the editors

RSF in Newry have rejected the claim of Fianna Fáil to be the 'Republican Party' following FF's recruitment attempt in South Armagh.

Following the recent 'tour' of South Armagh by recruiting agents for Fianna Fáil, the Joe Conway Cumann of Republican Sinn Féin in Newry called on the people of South Armagh to distance themselves from the party.

A spokesperson for the Joe Conway Cumann said “It is no surprise that the Fianna Fáil party continue to describe themselves as 'The Republican Party' in an attempt to dupe faithful residents of South Armagh into joining their discredited rabble.

“Would this be the same alleged 'Republican Party' who executed true Republicans, even importing the English hangman Pierrepoint to do the dirty deed?

“Is this not the same organisation which even today imprisons true Republicans in Portlaoise Gaol for the 'crime' of resisting British rule in Ireland?

“We call upon the noble people of South Armagh to reject this tawdry counterfeit 'Republican Party' and to support and join the only true Republican political organisation organised Nationally – Republican Sinn Féin.

“We are the only political body today who steadfastly oppose British rule in Ireland, whether directly from the English parliament at Westminster or the partition parliaments of Stormont and Leinster House. Our aim is a 32-County Democratic Socialist Republic. Join us in the struggle for it!”

dint FF drop the moniker .'the republican party' before the last general election? Probably to appease Tony Blair.
Who on this forsaken island supports them i dont know. Mabey it has something to do with the 300.000 'ghost votes' discovered in the evoting machines by hackers, purchased by FF, which was the main reason they were scrapped. Not the discovery of votes in machines purchased but the fact that they were made public-very discreetly, that is.

Republican Sinn Fein does not hold a single elected office in the island of Ireland, North or South of the border and enjoys less than one percent of the support of the electorate in the Republic of Ireland and just over one percent of the vote in Northern Ireland.
It's a bit rich for them to claim that the overwhelming democratic mandate of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement referendum and the overwhelming democratic mandate of the various political parties North and South of the border is illegitimate.
A bunch of grotesque fascists meeting in a cowshed who style themselves as the legitimate government of Ireland dp not have any right to dictat to the people of the island of Ireland will bullets and bombs.
