Former Abu Ghraib Interogator Reads Play at Abbey Theatre

Joshua Casteel Iraq Veteran Against the War www.ivaw.org will be doing a reading
of his play "Returns" at the Abbey Theatre on Dec 17th. 2 pm
Tickets 4 euro
Abbey Box Office is open Monday - Saturday 10.30 am - 7pm

The play is based on his experiences as an interrogator at Abhu Ghraib.

Joshua came to Ireland in July 06 for the visit of Jeb Bush which coincided with the 3rd. trial of the Pitstop Ploughshares www.peaceontrial.com

After leaving the U.S. military in protest at the war on Iraq Joshua hooked up wit the Catholic Worker movement and Iraq Veterans Against the War on his return to the U.S. He has been arrested a number of times in nonviolent resistance to the ongoing U.S. war on Iraq On his 2006 speaking tour he gave a speech in Derry that helped to inspire the Raytheon 9 action later that week. He returned to Ireland with two other Iraq War veterans to lead a large demonstration at Shannon around Halloween 06.
