Public Meeting in Co.Clare.

category national | crime and justice | event notice author Wednesday February 13, 2008 18:45author by Setanta - Victims of the Legal Profession Societyauthor email setantasetantaone at yahoo dot ieauthor phone 0877522838 Report this post to the editors

Problems with your Solicitor?

Time and time again people have been let down by their solicitor. Discussion and the sharing of intelligence will help the general public to examine the issues brought forth at these meetings.

Solicitors in Clare and the adjoining counties will be put under the spotlight at a meeting to be held in the Clare Inn which is near New Market on Fergus Co. Clare on Monday 25th February 2008 at 8.00 pm..

Victims of the legal profession from the four provinces will highlight the descrepancies in the legal systemand the arbitrary way in which law is dispenced.
A radical review of the whole judicial process is needed as well as the appointment of an ombudsman to investigate the rogue elements of a profession that has seriously lost its way.

People are becoming increasingly frustrated and upset about the anomalies, injustices and delays that they have to encounter in their dealings with unscrupulous solicitors.

Many have been badly let down. People have at least the right to expect that their business is conducted confidentially, professionally , and in the clients' best interests.Unfortunately, the opposite is often the case.

They experience delay of obfuscation, indifference and downright bad manners. Many are left with the distinct impression that their solicitor is working for the other side.

Another bone of contention is the Law Society and its handling of complaints. Supposedly a regulatory authority to look after the interest of the public, it is increasingly perceived to be protecting the Legal Profession.

To many, the Law Society is working hand in glove with the denizens of Blackhall Place, a cartel working to protect the wealth, privilege and opportunism of a group of people intoxicated with greed and poison.

Too many wills disappear or are changed with legal connivance. Property transactions, inheritance issues accordingly are causing grave concern to people who have lost all confidence in the legal and judicial system.

Those people, pledged to protect the rights of the individual, and who are officers of the court, are undermining the very democratic system that is fundamental to all rights.

On the 100th anniversary of the death of Michael Davitt, the founder of the Land League, people should once again assert their rights to their property and their deeds. They should not be intimidated by a group of people who have become parasitical on society.

Change is needed and needed soon. Such is the enthusiasm for radical reform amongst the people that meetings across Ireland are planned for the coming months.

The message is loud and clear. If you have a doubt, support our meetings and secure your rights and your future.
