First All Ireland Animal Welfare Conference

Animal Welfare in Ireland - Going Forward

The first all Ireland Animal Welfare Conference will take place in the main Ballroom, Citywest Hotel, on the 23rd of September, 2007. The theme of the conference is unity and moving forward to give animals the best chance of much neeeded change.

Make a note of this important date!

The animal welfare community do an enormous amount of work and provide a much needed public service against overwhelming odds.

Even in isolation, individuals and groups are performing miracles! Imagine for a moment what we can achieve together. Unity among all those who are delivering welfare, protection, or care to unwanted or abandoned animals is essential. It is important in terms of gaining recognition for the work being done and also to move forward the very important issues of funding, legislation and enforcement.

The Celtic Tiger has done little to improve owner attitudes and the overproduction of companion animals. It is time for the animal welfare community to stand together for the animals whose lives we are trying to improve.

Offical invitations for this conference will be going out ahead of time. If you know any groups or individuals who might like to attend, please send on their e-mail address to info@anvilireland.ie or contact me on 0861999512.
