Actually JM was questioning Dr David Phillips,on whether he knew prof mathessies who appeared for the fishermen, as they are both eco-toxicologists from the uk.
I honestly don't know why Áine Ryan pretended it was something else.
JM asked Dr David Phillips, if he knew professor mattheissen, to which Phillips replied yes, he knew him for 20 yrs.
JM went on to ask, was it not strange that he (Phillips) was working for shell, and professor mattheissen (a person known to him) in his report had concluded the discharge "probably wouldn't cause any damage to the marine environment" (implying mattheissin may have been "bought" by shell).
It was at this stage Phillips realized what JM was implying and made the remark "we haven't slept together yet" referring to his friendship with mattheissin.
It had nothing to do with Andy Pile, and I request JM clarifies that fact, and also explains why he tried to suggest matthiessin was involved in a conspiracy with shell.
Remembering the fact matthesin was here to suggest a proper monitoring regime, and several times tried to get off the subject of his report and speak about monitoring.
All of us who was present at the hearing on that day know exactly what happened and what was said.
Now JM please explain why you engaged in that line of questioning?.
Actually you should get a sense of humour.
Firefighters still at scene of Mayo blaze
Monday, 11 June 2007 08:58
Firefighters in Co Mayo are still at the scene of a forest fire that broke out yesterday evening.
They say dry conditions are likely to have caused the blaze, which is around 2-3km from the Corrib Gas terminal at Bellanaboy.
Extensive damage has been caused to the Coillte-owned forest and efforts are under way to bring the fire under control.

Last night a spokesman for the Shell to Sea campaign group said the blaze was a cause of serious concern as those opposing the terminal had always claimed it was a mistake to locate it in an area surrounded by forestry.
