Why do we fail to deport those whom we should deport? It's due in the end, says Dr David McGrogan, to an excess of pity. We are pitying ourselves into disorder and social decay. We need to be willing not to be nice.

Reform is favourite to win the Runcorn and Helsby by-election, overturning Labour's 14,700 majority. Why? It might have something to do with having the nation's third-highest number of asylum seekers, says Steven Tucker.

Well done "G," "rs" and crew, today's action is the chutzpah and tonic that Shell to Sea, or at least the Galway branch of it, has been waiting for.
Tut! Tut ! Why hide your light under a bushel as the best shot is posted on Indymedia UK and deserves pride of place on Indymedia Ireland?.
Cadbury's Milk Tray man : "Shell brown envelope delivery to Ahern, is the bugger in or is he still lickspittling the arse of war criminal Bliar?"
Maith an fear, dreapadóir na hAmbasáide!
redjade note.... Two Questions:
a) Is 'G' Irish or British?
b) rs wrote that '“You should be ashamed” says the banner in Gaelic' - is this accurate? because the fair and balanced media that always checks their facts before publishing says something else.
I would suggest that, if the following media reports are inaccurate, people send a quick email to these media companies asking why they don't have a policy of getting the perspectives of both sides before publishing. Fair and balanced ya know?

Embassy protestor cautioned
It is believed that the protester was a British national and had an address in Sheffield.
Up to 10 members of a group that called themselves the ’Rossport Solidarity Camp’ handed out leaflets to passers-by during the hour-long incident which began at noon.

Well done to everyone at tha embassy agus as gaeilge! (and in Gaelic too! } we need to shame the Irish media and Irish "give away" government. Maith thu agus beidh me ag feichint ort anseo agus sa Co. Maigh Eo. Go naire an bothar leat agus buiochas.
Cheers on the protest direct action eh.
bullaí fir, well done, seo an deáshampla dúinn!
Heartfelt thanks from all of us currently besieged in north Mayo. It is fantastic encouragement to us to see people react on our behalf to the state/corporate brutalism that we are, at present, enduring.
This is a battle of the 21st century - let's win it!! Beir bua, Maura

Fantastic work by G and friends in London. This corrupt bandit government should be exposed internationally at every opportunity. The Embassies of the globe ! Many thanks, to friends in London.
My opinion is that guy either needs to get a life, or medical help!
What has he achieved, apart from looking like a fool?
Where are all the S2S contributors in other posts, that are asking real questions?
Hiding without answers I would suggest!
A cheap publicity stunt and suddenly there all here!
How come we don't have posts from them pointing out the inaccuracies in the EPA statement or the inaccuracies in the report commissioned by the fishermen?
Maybe it is because there isn't any? maybe they will now have to put up or shut up and go away!
The oral hearing should be fun, not to mention the general election.
I hear paddy powers are planning on giving good odds.
Go back to watching the E.PA.
Armchair experts..congrats to the activist and the courageuos act of the climber who made it into all Iirsh and several British media outlets, papers etc..especially the free papers which thousands upon thosudands of commuters read on the trek into work.
Well done all--
Tio Rossport on the 16th!
Perhaps they should make more of a fuss about Sellafield, before they go unfurling banners at our embassy.
Well done to the crew in London... keep up the great work!
excellent stuff - ignore the be-grudgers and the usual anti shell 2 sea nonsense - anything that high lights shells continuous exploitation and lack of regard for everything except profit is welcomed - plus the arrogance of the irish government, while laughing at the situation in mayo - our health and education system is starting to become a daily issue - the revenue which could be made from the gas could help or even resolve these problems - instead its handed to shell - free state indeed - mo náire thú - fianna failed - beir bua na agóidoirí - dlúthpháirtíocht go deo.
Fair Play to those in London who went to the Irish Embassy to get teh message across about what is gonig on in Mayo! Its important to get the message accross to people not only in Ireland but England, Scotland etc.
Keep up the good work!
