Seventh Annual Winter Workshop

Cooley Environmental and Health Group wish to announce their seventh annual winter workshop which will take place on 27 January 2007 in The Strand Hotel, Omeath, Co Louth, starting at 2.00 p.m.

Rather than hearing the experts in a linear manner - one after the other - this workshop may be split into parallel sessions each one moderated by a reasonably expert person who will report back to the general assembly.

Accommodation should be readily available at a range of prices to suit every pocket for those wishing to stay in the locality the night before the workshop or the night after (or for as long as you like).

The Strand Hotel is situated about 80m to the right from the pier in Omeath. The pier is situated at the bottom of the street shown in the picture which accompanies this announcement.

An earnest, full and energetic workshop took place in The Strand Hotel, Omeath, on Saturday 27 January 2007, beginning at 2.00 p.m. sharp. The theme of the workshop was "Urban Sprawl!" The speakers were, Arthur Morgan TD, Archbishop Michael Desmond Hynes OMA, Dr Larry Staudt, Luke Martin, Pat Ferrigan, Dr Dennis Pringle, Eric Hynes, Padraic Oliver, Christina O’Boyle, Eamonn O’Boyle TC. Sean Crudden was the workshop facilitator. Others in attendance were Anne Muldowney and Kevin Hynes. The workshop was followed at 6.00 p.m. by a dinner.

The workshop was the seventh annual winter workshop organised by Cooley Environmental and Health Group. It took place on a day when Prince Charles and Camilla rode an electric train from Philadelphia to New York where the prince was to collect a Global Environmental Citizen Award from the Centre for Health and Global Environment at Harvard Medical School.

It is wonderfull to see ye are holding a workshop on Urban Sprawl this year. This is a rather interesting topic. I will be watching your space on the web for your final report.
