Tin-Pot Gods. Mc Dowell and Harney get Down and Dirty.

"The Triple Arm Of Good Governance"

Yesterday Minister for (Justice) Michael Mc Dowell TD
asked Minister for Health, Mary Harney TD to "step
aside" as party leader, before the next general election.
The possibilities are endless in terms of cliche.

One that springs directly to mind is an old Irish
favourite: "The Shit before The Shovel".

In the debate on the Sex laws, (that won't seem to go away)
Minister Mc Dowell TD referred to the 'Triple Arm of Good Governance'
as the arm of Law Enforcement, the judiciary and the offices of the State.

Given that the State is now a bureaucratic fiddling system, headed up
by a flatulent Taoiseach (Bertie, Man of the people).

The judiciary sign off on reams of bad laws, designed to confuse
and obfuscate the ordinary citizen .

The law-enforcement agencies are in internal dissarray.

Mr Mc Dowell's Maddening glimpse at his own ego-led power
lust ,blinds him to the fact that no-one wants a tin-god. Observe the
press coverage of the demand/ultimatum for Mary to step aside,
He is walking along a line of gardai with his hands clasped tightly
behind his back. So presidential, but no-one told us that he
has to do that because otherwise the reflex-jerking which his image
makers control with the placing of a folder, or tell him to put in his
pockets would bely the flapping motion, he is famous for.

The people who want so badly a leader, his apologists
are forgiven for basking in the glow of his mono-mania.

Someone has to salute the old beggar.

Mary Harney is throwing in the towel.
after 13 years as Peedee leader.

so the way is clear for Mc Dowell to impose white supremacy on the nation.

He was of course congragulated by KKK for the citizenship referendum.

And so we bid farewell to the woman who was the most anti-worker, anti-trade union Minister for Employment EVER. She who refused to hire additional labour inspectors in 2004 even though cabinet approval had been given. She who transposed EU worker protection legislation in the most minimal way possible. good riddance.

Strange that someone so grossly obese could be a "Health Minister". She spend a lot of time employing cronies in extremely well paid positions with very little to show for it in the end. Good riddance, hopefully she'll resign this post as well. Expect more of the same from whoever takes her place.

"The Tanaiste, Mary Harney , has said she stands over the deal between the Government and
religious institutions on compensation for institutional child abuse"

Ms Harney refused to be drawn on the statement yesterday by the Minister for Justice
Michael Mc Dowell, yesterday that he had been excluded as Attorney General from some meetings.

The issue was never debated in the Dail.Last discussions were 19th April 2002
five days before the dissolution of the Dail. The election occured on the 17th May.

The indemnity deal allowed the religious to pay 128million in compensation to victims of abuse.

This is roughly1/10 of the state payout.

The deal was completed by Dr Michael Woods TD. He who chaired the sex law debate
in 2006, in the absence of both the leas Ceann Comhairle and the Taoiseach.
(june2nd-2006).

Michael Woods and Mc Dowell had a very public falling out on the deal
Ironic that TD Woods presided over the sex Law debate and the introduction of
a flawed piece of legislation by the Present Minister for Justice and now Tanaiste.
Interesting, because a section of the new law is obviously flawed and is
open to constitutional challenge because it lacks gender neutrality.

Ms Harney has now stepped aside as she was asked.
Mr Mc Dowell who was excluded from the Wood's Indemnity deal is presently Tanaiste.
The Dail have not debated the Woods deal due to the general election.
A flawed piece of legislation passed through the Dail on June 2nd 2006.
