Tara Protest at the NRA conference.

category dublin | history and heritage | event notice author Sunday March 26, 2006 10:21author by C Murray - Tarawatchauthor email dotliath at gmail dot comauthor address n/aauthor phone 0877765289 Report this post to the editors

Banner Outing.

NRA are conferencing at Croker on Thursday 30/03/06.

The Title of the conference is:

BUILDING A BETTER ROAD ENVIRONMENT.

Minister Roche will address. The crony lobby will attend.

We think its time to bring some banners out there. Letters also.
Demanding an audit of the NRA, asking for the instigation of a
statutory body to implement our heritage legislation and intelligent investment in our heritage.

Call me @ 087 7765289., if you are interested in standing outside and protesting. The conference is listed and well publicised. There are links on the event calendar.

Building a Better Road Environment.

I will post the conference details as soon as I can get them.
The conference is in closed session and aimed at Trade (ie:Lobby), county councils(ie: Zoners) and related trade
such as engineering companies. There is no public access or ticket line.

The NRA was incepted in 2000.
It operates in conjunction with the DOE in relation to the excavation, identification and classification of archaeological digs.
There is an outdated code of practice governing the activities of the NRA.
Since the abolition of Duchas in 2003, the NRA has worked
and operated without Statutory obligation and without an audit of their activities.
The board of the NRA is State appointed.
Minister Noel dempsey , as Minister of the Environment appointed his cousin to the board of the NRA.

The chief archaeologist appointed by the State in the NRA
has only a basic qualification, he will address the conference.
The evidence disallowed by expert witnesses at the hill of Tara case, also precluded brian Duffy from taking the stand and being cross-examined on his affidavitt, which was factually inaccurate concerning Baronstown 1.
