There?s no food getting in so people are starving,? surgeon Tom Potokar says
British doctors working in Gaza have described the territory as a ?slaughterhouse,? where the patients they are treating are severely malnourished.

Plastic surgeons and orthopedic specialists from the UK are based at the Amal and Nasser hospitals in Khan Younis in the south of the territory.

Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,

For the last few years since the CV19 scamdemic undocumented immigration into Ireland has surged. No one is allowed discuss it because they do not want any rational debate about it. If you do you are labelled an extremist. However this out of control immigration is fully facilitated by the Irish government and the EU and the shady figure behind the Neo Con movement pushing for endless war, wokeism and globalist agenda.

The title of the meeting is well chosen. It can be read to say what's the future after the upcoming deal? Maybe coalition government for the Labour Party! It doubt very much that anyone in the Labour party would support a fighting campaigning and militant union movement. That's what's needed. Instead Labour call for immigration control and more deals with bosses. I also have to laugh at that councillor talking. Labour in the councils have voted for bin taxes and have gone 'missing' when vital votes come up. Paul Dillon supports social partnership. Maybe partnership but a bit nicer maybe?! Dillon certainly supported the Nice Treaty and the European Union when he was in UCD. Well guys if you support the EU you gotta support it's policies such as outsourcing of labour. Mick O'Reilly is only fooling himself thinking that Labour are any alternative. Mick staying in that party only discredits him.

Considering this was a meeting organised by Labour youth who recently adopted an anti partnership stance. I wasnt at the meeting but from what i heard dillo spoke emphatically against partnership.i think your rant is irrelevant

Paul Dillon does support the EU. I was in UCD at time of second Nice Treaty vote and he was absent from any of the campaigns against it in the college. He voted for it and supported it. The Nice Treaty's clauses are all about 'deregulating' the labour market and making exploitation of workers easier. He also supported EU expansion into the east as a progressive step for the people of those countries. It would be interesting to here what LY outline as their alternative to partnership rather than just saying they're against it. Maybe Chris could say.

i reckon this is the same spuppy (hint: hes one of a pair) who used to constantly misrepresent paul dillon on indy when paul was president of ucdsu. its a pity really that the sp dont keep these people on a tighter lease. that ridiclious rant above just exposes anti partnership as an embittered poser.

Pat c is incorrect about my identity. I do thinbk my post was making political points so maybe pat shouldnt attempt insinuations and innuendo about people. Main anti-Nice campaign in UcD at time was run by Anarchist group AAN. Idd like to hear what is LY alternaitve to partnership.

SP troll trying to pretend he may just be an anarchist, if an anarchist had a problem with Paul Dillon or Labour Youth I'm sure they would have just asked them about it at last nights mayday legal support benefit.

I have no idea who "anti-partnership" is and his/her personalised comments about some Labour Youth member aren't a useful way to start a discussion about the Labour Party or social partnership. Paul Dillon, whoever the hell he is, isn't the issue and what his views were or are on the Nice Treaty is completely irrelevant.

That said I don't think that the responses are very helpful either. Pat, if the Socialist Party took your advice and started telling its members what they could and couldn't do in their spare time that would be downright wierd. Guydebordisdead, in my view it's not a compliment to anarchists to imply that they don't "have a problem" with Labour Youth, LY after all being the junior wing of Pat Rabbitte's liberal electoral machine.

Anyway on the more serious points raised, it's interesting that Labour Youth have organised a meeting about the end of partnership. If they are serious about opposing partnership no doubt they will have to be ruthlessly critical of their own party. Like it or not the LP is the strongest proponent of partnership deals and of a quiescent trade union movement. If we are going to end partnership, we will only do so in the face of opposition from Rabbitte's mob. How Labour Youth members will square the circle between verbally opposing partnership while canvassing for an alternative government led by Fine Gael and equally wedded to partnership will be interesting to see.

"Pat, if the Socialist Party took your advice and started telling its members what they could and couldn't do in their spare time that would be downright wierd. "

Mark i respect you and your non sectarian style of debating but the SP is a leninist party and does, through democratic centralism, often tell their members what to say.

"Guydebordisdead, in my view it's not a compliment to anarchists to imply that they don't "have a problem" with Labour Youth, LY after all being the junior wing of Pat Rabbitte's liberal electoral machine."

Labour Youth have proved through their involvement in anti racist and anti deportation actions where their allegiances lie.

I would contrast the sectarianism towards LY shown by some SYers to the attitude that Joe Higgins portrays. At the demo at Mountjoy Jail last week Joe Higgins and Joe Costello both spoke. Joe Higgins did not attack either the LP or Joe Costello, to do so in the context would have been ultra left. Joe Higgins knows how to work with other people.

Mark you should remember that opnce upon a time , Militant were in Labour Youth. They also opposedthe reactionary policies of the main labour party, but they still went out and canvassed for pro-coalition TDS & candidates.

you werte making the innuendos. on the basis of no evidence you were suggesting that paul was pro- partnership. you also suggested LY were racist. LY have always been involved in anti racist actions.

"Main anti-Nice campaign in UcD at time was run by Anarchist group AAN."

(perhaps you mean LAN?) yes and they tied in with some of the work done by Libertarians against Nice (i was secretary). whats your point?

i dont believe that you are an anarchist. this is the same bitter bile that paul dillon has faced so often on indy.
