Even as the G8 promises fall apart, Geldof stays silent - George Monbiot

Two months have not elapsed since the G8 summit, and already almost everything has turned to ashes. Even the crustiest sceptics have been shocked by the speed with which its promises have been broken.

The world turned its attention to the London bombing before the G8 summit ended.

The London bombing has nothing to do with what Monbiot is talking about. Are you trying to suggest that it somehow or other 'forced' the G8 leaders to renege on their promises?

I find it hard to believe that not one councillor opposed Sir Bob's nomination . When the ceremony takes place ,is there any chance of getting a protest organized..?

apperently he upset some of the clowns, by saying they were brainless violent thugs throwing bins in edinburgh.........
