Given the choice between two weak tea bags, Australia elected a weak tea bag, says Rebekah Barnett. Liberal leader Peter Dutton even lost his seat, a reflection of his hopeless deficit in personality and policies.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/9/5/16455/30830

FEMA won't accept Amtrak's help in evacuations

FEMA turns away experienced firefighters

FEMA turns back Wal-Mart supply trucks

FEMA prevents Coast Guard from delivering diesel fuel

FEMA won't let Red Cross deliver food

FEMA bars morticians from entering New Orleans

FEMA blocks 500-boat citizen flotilla from delivering aid

FEMA fails to utilize Navy ship with 600-bed hospital on board

FEMA to Chicago: Send just one truck

FEMA: "First Responders Urged Not To Respond"

all further expanded and the list goes on

That last one sounds like an Onion headline, but, believe it or not, it's straight from FEMA's website.

There are reports from the New Orleans area by Ham Radio operators that they are being jammed. See here for the report:
http://neworleans.indymedia.org/news/2005/09/4568.php

The report says:

"However, we now have a new unconfirmed report that the culprit may be the Pentagon itself. The emitter is an IF (Intermediate Frequency) jammer that is operating south southwest of New Orleans on board a U.S. Navy ship, according to an anonymous source. The jamming is cross-spectrum and interfering with superheterodyne receiver components, including the emergency radios being used in New Orleans relief efforts."

If these reports are to be believed and there is no reason not to, in light of all the other strange reports about the FEMA and relief efforts being blocked, then there is something strange going on with this disaster. One common thing that I have noticed over many years with all types of disaster in the USA is that they always seem to show the military in a positive, indeed essential light.

It's always the military to the rescue. The military can save us. Things are always portrayed as everyone looks up the the military to get things done, to do things right.

It's like as if they are showing that civilian government is NOT up to the task, but let the military take over and things get done. Is this some kind of psych ops thing that is using this latest disaster to prepare the population for take over later, when the effects of Peak Oil really begin to bite. There's some kinda of agenda going on it.

For more on what is ahead with regard to Peak Oil, people should read The Long Emergency by Howard Kunstler

These are the people capitalism has no concern for...

Many people when criticising theories such as that 9/11 was an inside job refuse to accept that the people in power would kill their own people. Well obviously they do, first by sending the own troops off to war who get killed and in the case of New Orleans through very conscious and deliberate neglect
