Syria has confirmed that all of its secret service agents have left the Lebanon.
That means that only their armoured divisions are left in a small valley near their border.
the USA has not confirmed that all of its secret service agents have left the Lebanon where the vast majority of its citizens wish for a democracy and peaceful co-existance with their regional neighbours Turkey, (€U candidate bit nasty to women and Kurds)
Cyprus (oh well need we say more) and Israel.
(on the Blair Bush road map to world peace with symbolic datelines).
We now await move 4 of -
Hariri's game.
"the pacification of hezbollah".
Hezbullah have not called for the Syrians to stay. They are thanking them for their efforts in stabilising the country after years of civil war.
What they oppose is the US backed motion demanding they disarm. This would leave Lebanon at the mercy of the Zionists who would simply invade again. Their shame at having the arses kicked off them would no doubt spur these aggressive shower of bastards to seek revenge.
Thankfully there is no Hezbullah version of Gerry Adams (despite the beards), so it looks like the US and the Zionists wont find their plans will go so easy as they think.
We demand free and accountable elections.
We demand a society where ethnic difference is respected and where muslim, christian and jew may live in peace.
We demand a society which respects the contribution of syrian workers who number more than one million to the economy and culture of the Lebanon.
We demand that our right to self-determination be
respected.
We demand our future as is our birthright in the Constantine union of nations under God.
background to todays monster meeting-

"nota bene" Hezbollah have never got more than several thousands onto the street. Today's numbers equal half the population of Beirut from the sea to the mountain.
what part of this do you not get?
Following phony “redeployment” in Beqaa Valley, Syria and its proxy Hizballah stage mammoth rally in Beirut of estimated 200,000 demonstrators against US and Israel Tuesday.
he right has, unfortunately, attempted to appropriate the Cedar Revolution in Lebanon as vindication of Bush's invasion of Iraq

who killed Hariri?
Syria is being blamed for the assassinaton of Rafiq Hariri. If true, this would be a real suicide operation. The assassination was more likely planned by those whose interests it serves, and who wish to set Syria up for an attack.

Phase 2 of operation sculpting democracy in the mid-east:
I bet right now right-wing think-tanks in America are forumlating a strategy to weaken Hizbollah. but pray- tell how will they do it.
Perhaps a suicide bomber in Israel which Hizbollah will be implicated in sponsoring?
Hizbollah fomenting sectarian strife in lebanon thereby stifling the path to freedom and democracy.
after a popular protest which brought between 300,000 (according to indy-reader in Ireland) and 500,000 (according to BBC in damascus) onto the streets of Beirut which is twelve times (based on the mean difference) the largest amount ever credited to a Hezbolah demonstration. Thus has tippy toppy democracy with all the warts, bad teeth and so on proved that a goodly section of the Lebanese people aren't ready for imposed democratic change and favour watching their usual telly instead of Michael Jackson trial updates.
The Druze now have a part to play as well.
Then elections, Jimmy Carter hasn't announced he's going yet, so theymightn't be as good as the kind you get for school class room rep when you were a kid, and the teacher might have said "don't vote for any messers or armed struggle heads in masks".
