offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Rewriting History Has Never Been Easier

Latvia rewrites its history by erasing its Soviet past.

Latvia rewrites its history by erasing its Soviet past.
Socialist Party of Latvia proposal to recognize the 9th of May as Victory Day over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War of 1945 has been refused by the Latvian government.
Vaira Vike-Freiberga presented “History of Latvia: XXth Century” to Vladimir Putin at the Holocaust Memorial Day in Oswiecim.

Rewriting History Has Never Been Easier
Despite efforts of the Socialist Party of Latvia the Government of this Baltic State refuses to recognize the 9th of May as Victory Day over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War of 1945.
Many people hoped that Latvia would come to senses in 2005 because this year is special. It marks 60th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War. Rather the Great Patriotic War, as it is better known in many countries of Eastern Europe. 20 million people died in the USSR during this war and the 9th of May is much more than just an ordinary National Holiday.
It is annually celebrated in the successor states to the Soviet Union. However, thousands of people including veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in Latvia are left on their own, without parades and support from the Latvian Government. It is a working day and it has been so since the collapse of the Soviet Union and subsequent Latvian Independence.
As opposed to its former ‘Soviet friends’ Latvia celebrates the 8th of May, Europe Day when Germany surrendered to the UK, France and the United States. Apparently Latvian soldiers were fighting in the West and not in the Soviet Army. I’d say a big chapter of their victories would be available in the new edition of Latvian history book.
Controversial “History of Latvia: XXth Century” was kindly presented to Vladimir Putin by Vaira Vike-Freiberga at the Holocaust Memorial Day in Oswiecim. Whether it was done with a specific idea in mind or just the moment was ripe, remains unknown.
Latvian attempts to rewrite history in a manner of complete disregard to the former USSR and countries that comprised it are despicable and appalling.
They are aimed to provoke anger [mainly of Russia] and to attract attention of the European Union, by falsely presenting Latvia as a martyr and as an example of Western democracy that has been deprived of its right to existence by the evil Soviet Empire. It is not surprising with such a president.
Vaira Vike-Freiberga was born in Siberia in a camp and as she mentioned, her decision to send Latvian troops to Iraq was aimed at revenging Russia for her Siberian childhood. It is an interesting point. Does it mean that Latvian soldiers serving in Iraq and their families in Latvia were also to blame for Vaira Vike-Freiberga’s unfortunate youth?

Going back in time and history, by the 8th of July 1941 the whole territory of Latvia was occupied and it became part of so-called “Ostland”. Since that moment all Latvian lands and factories became property of Germany. The country was freed only in May 1945.
About 150,000 Soviet soldiers have died fighting for Latvia. They were soldiers of different nationalities: Latvian, Russian, Belarusian, Estonian, etc. Many of them were awarded War medals and honors, but apparently it does not matter either.
In modern English Latvian actions could be described as “screwing up the history”. Maybe the Soviet army should have let the Nazi regime continue murdering not only Latvians, but Jews, Russian and other minorities, and then Latvia would have come to peace with itself.
In the meantime, Vaira Vike-Freiberga’s anger does not give Latvian government any right to publicly humiliate achievements of the Soviet Army in the Great Patriotic War.

Latvians do not have to be grateful to the Russians. Irish are not grateful to the English. But at least they do not deny their past. It's called "get over it". What Latvia is doing now is a 'nice' continuation from their human rights violations: closing down Russian schools (with 40% of the total population being Russian). Some of them do not even speak Latvian. This is nasty politics.
If Russia was doing the same towards Latvia: the EU, the US and whatever else is there, would have already come up with statements of criticism. But with Latvia, no one could be bothered. This is just cheap.
People living these days are not responsible for mistakes of the past.
Generations seem to have "apres moi, le deluge" policy.
Stalin had a great ideology "If your enemy is weak, destroy him completely!". Unfortunately many people do not understand a different language. The same with the Ukraine. If the unfortunate Yushenko was poisoned 'all the way', there would have been no 'orange protesters'. Word 'revolution' has much more to it than just a bunch of people protesting in the street. But for many it is more comfortable to call it revolution.

Perhaps people forget thet Stalin did a deal with Hitler and Poland and the Baltic countries were the pawns. In time the Latvians will see that the USA is a false friend. But telling them that they should be grateful for the Russian occupation will not help promote this clarification. Like the Kurds many fall for the false dictum that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.Even here some Republicans blinded by their opposition to English rule in the North did not see the Nazis as probably an even worse enemy.
