Charles to marry Camilla

Charles to marry Camilla
By Laura Elston, PA
10 February 2005

The Prince of Wales is to marry Camilla Parker Bowles, Clarence House said today.

A full statement is to be released by the household shortly.

No date has been released at this stage, but reports this morning suggested it would be 6 April.

The move will end years of speculation on their relationship which has spanned decades.

Mrs Parker Bowles's current position meant her status was dogged with problems, including her seating at social functions away from the heir to the throne.

They first met at a Windsor polo match in 1970.

Last June, Mrs Parker Bowles was mentioned in the Prince's accounts - moving into a new realm of acceptance.

This week, there was further controversy over the cost of her lifestyle and how it was funded by the Prince.

A key question to be resolved will be how she will be addressed. Will it be as the Princess of Wales, and when Charles becomes King, Queen Camilla?

Camilla is still married to Andrew Parker Bowles a Catholic ,that is in the eyes of the Catholic church. If in future Chas:tries to put her on the throne with him as seems likely, where does that leave English Catholics and the Catholic Church in England? It was in very bad taste for Chas: to take her to Westminster Cathedral with him for the memorial service for John Paul 11 given her undecided status.

No one begrudges them marrying ,they should have done it 3 decades ago before they dragged 2 spouses and 4 children under their wagon wheels.Whether they are fit to come to the throne after all they've done is another matter.A relative of Cams called her"The laziest woman born in England in the 20th C:"and Mark Bolland who used to work for Chas:says she is "monumentally lazy" and gets bad tempered if you try to get her to do anything, also she backed out of her first solo trip due to nerves,we were always told Diana had nerves and C.P.B was a calm cool lady!!!

.:. 2 squared and cubed is the Roman Pontiff's funeral .:.

The compromise between calvinism and catholicism which had brought the engurlish to war when brother killed brother under bloody mary and edward vii has endured with its 39 articles of faith for a very long time as a very broad church of believers who have attracted less acusations of hypocrisy than the church of rome.
& lest you never noticed the anglican order of service was almost exactly the same as the tridentine rite (pre vatican 2 latin mass) of the roman church but translated to english.
Incidently it was only at Elizabeth the first time that recorded marriage became common place between ordinary people check your geneology (there are websites to help you).

"what god has brought together no man may rend asunder",
as we know many partnerships blessed in chapel or written in law can not really be thought to have been divinely arranged or inspired. But one thing is certain, Charles marriage to Diana gave two princes to england and scotland and "many in other places too". Those two sons are living testament of the choices Charles made by marrying Diana 23 years ago, though he has enjoyed the love of Camilla for 33 years.

We are all created equally.
That is a self-evident truth,
but injustice, inequality, non fraternity, and non liberty in the lives and opportunities offered all means that either a mediocre meritocracy or privelaged heridatary plutocracy shapes the destiny of billions.

One supposed advantage of having princes, is the education that they might be afforded them by their nation(s). Both William and Harry have had excellent educations and are prepared to serve their nation(s) well. Alas, the same can not nor could not nor ought not be said for Charles.

To many eyes his actions since the Roman Pontiff began his great and public suffering have clearly shown that he is unsuitable for what he considers his "birthright". As anyone with even a passing familiarity with the Magic Flute knows, a prince may be first of his land, but that doesn't mean he gets his own way all the time or even passes the tests that prove him.

His civil wedding thus shall be held in the Guildhall on the 9th day of the 4th month, and not the 8th as he would have vainly planned.

The Queen of the UK "the British Monarch" has let it be known in the british press today (timed to con-incide with her letters of condolence to the Holy See on the death of the Roman Pontiff) that the reason she will not be attending the wedding of the Prince of Wales is because she is putting her duties as the head of the Church of England before family feelings.

She has told a friend that she feels it incompatible with her role as Supreme Governor of the Church to attend a civil marriage ceremony, particularly one involving the heir to the throne. She does not want to set a precedent that could damage the Church of England.

"I am not able to go. I do not feel that my position [as Supreme Governor of the Church] permits it," the Queen told her friend.

The British monarch has since just before the time of the English Reformation carried the title FD, (defender of the faith) a papal contract to protect the "kernal" of the Constantine dogma. Its a peculiar arrangement which not many people understand the nature of. But its considered so important it still gets put on the coins. Whereas over fifty other little letters and titles and contracts don't. It's an ancient "bond".

For their part the Spanish Royal house last week confirmed that they would not attend, an annoucement which was followed almost immediately on the "ancient house and address circuit" by all other Catholic royal houses "crowned" or "uncrowned", ranging from the "armed franciscans" (grimaldi family of monaco) to the "very sharp teeth" lichtenstein family even to the "very good at roman art collecting" thyssen crew.
They can all be thought to sit on the same side of the ancient chessboard but on different squares, thier "bonds" being Lepant, malta and so on. Their "power" could be counted in Lichtenstein if you had the account numbers, but to put it simply, theirs is the finance that keeps the whole mess underwritten "For good or bad" and hopefully this century "for better".
It is not reported whether Charles has invited any representatives from non-Constantine belief systems, he has voiced a willingness to change the FD title (not in his let) to encompass hinduism, buddhism, and all faiths even mormonism and apocalyptic christian fundamentalism, which shows a certain ignorance of the nature of some duties he would be charged with;- were he to become monarch.

It's not all just having your photo taken, opening homeless shelters, playing polo and eating good grub.

The Clarence House set have dismissed claims from a university of Oxford fellow and chair that the forthcoming marriage is illegal, claims which have found place in a BBC panorama documentary.

The Clarance House team have been familiar to most of the rat pack and polo playing set for years now. Their star spokesman Lord St John of Fawlsey has confirmed that Camila will become Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland.

However as the news of the illegality of the proposed civil marriage hit the Australian media today, the republican movement there naturally gained momentum.

Meanwhile in Scotland there has long been a certain loathing of the idea of any prince charlie other than the bonnie claiming 3rd position in any pony race.

Certainly all experts agree in Shakesperian fashion "the duke of Cornwall may marry whomever he wants" but the "crown" is a different matter, having long been a symbolic "truce" between most of those factions with interest in both commons and peers of the realms of those islands. Is it desirable that a man who has expressed the wish to alter the title granted his predeccesor by the Pope, of "Defender of the Faith" which satisfies his Roman Catholic, Anglican and Presbytarian fellow nationals to "defender of all faiths" in some sort of very passé homage to 1960s dead scot peers abbey road?

Next up in the Clarance House set to defend the proposed marriage will be Billy Connoly.

Next up in opposition will be the Scottish nationalist Mr Sean Connery.

Constitutional experts were shocked to learn today that a member of the Royal Family of Engurland may not legally marry in a civil ceremony.

Apparantly they're excluded from such types of union, under the Marriage Act of 1836 which allowed for civil marriages in England for the first time, with the exemption of the Royal Family. It was updated in 1949 when no specific changes were made to the royal exemption.

Dr Stephen Cretney QC, Emeritus Fellow of Legal History, Oxford University, said he found it impossible to understand how a civil marriage for the couple in England could be legal.

You can catch up on all this at through the BBC
Panorama program. or at the Scotsman.

It is possible for Mr Charles Windsor to marry in Ireland however, where recent changes to the Marriage act allow him as a fellow EU citizen to marry whomever he wants.

Should he renounce his claim on the throne of Engurland, Scotland, Cymru and wee presbytarian Ulster, he may of course marry as planned in a registry office. If that's really what he wants to do.

yes well quite, but we're hardly constitutional experts are we? it must be remembered that a direct ancestor of Camila was the long term lover "sentimental friend", "one true love" of a direct descendent of Charles, so in way its just taken them or the constitution (NO! NO! NO!) about a century to get to the sort of "d'ya love this yang wan? really luv 'er? well get down on your knee and say it!" sort of stuff which quite nicely has taken all the attention of the pope in rome who can rest unmolested by global media and get his voice in order for the irish "big really good mass" gig later this year. Not that such familial hypocrisy would be recognisable to the Irish who happily and resolutely left such peasant notions of suitability behind them at the time of the French revolution and enjoyed thanks to their enlightened understanding of love in all its forms, home rule under Parnell and the wit of Oscar until his seventieth year.

Would they not be better of finding a suitably virginal brood mare for the Wills lad?

Look at it this way: -

Lizzie - Queen, Current Monarch

1st in line: Charles - Mad, talks to botanical specimens, divorced.
2nd: Wills - Seems relatively sensible and normal, afaik.
3rd: Harry - Doubts over parentage. Dim and drunken dopehead.
4th: Andrew - Doubts over parentage. Divorced.
5th: Edward - Doubts over parentage. Pretty Vacant.
6th: Anne - Divorced and re-married. Does not have penis, so way down list despite being perhaps best qualified person to take over mother's role.

Not saying I have any problems with who is parent of who, but the whole basis of 'Royalty' centres on this. So if you study the above list it is obvious their old canard about being divorced had to be overlooked - else most of these people would drop off the list. If Wills fell off the twig tomorrow the options would be Harry and then Edward.

Abolish the lot of 'em!

Some of those conspiracy theorists have tunnel-vision. Unlike HRH they should belt up, and not be afraid to meet this head on.
Its like beating your head against a brick wall sometimes.

"Something about "mangled in the wind " or such like."

"Mangled in the bend" maybe?

Wasnt some group called the Renault 4 suspected of being involved?

Seriously though, there more and more evidence emerging that Henri Paul wasnt drunk or doped. Or so I am led to believe by all those Discovery Channel documentaries!

Will he be sniffling at the back of the church, saying "Bitch" through clenched teeth.

Or will he be jumping out of a cake with a rose between his teeth at Charles stag-night ?

are very happy that speculation of number 1 john paul 2 being replaced by one of his number 2s earlier this week, have now given way to speculation that Charles in wedding number 2, to the former number 3 will not in any way effect his role as CofE number 1 when he inherits the crown from Elizabeth 2 who is number 1 now, and that its ok since his wife number 1 is dead, and so Myers the number 1 number 2 can't complain about the morality in this weeks sunday telegraph.

Meanwhile british constitutional experts sinn fein number 1 Mr Adams and DUP number 1 Rev Dr Paisley have not denied or confirmed the crises which is effecting the union so its like ok, being married is nice and watching old really rich people who are anti GM food snog other really rich old people on telly is sexier than the usual shite we get forcefed.

Thats awful.

Your a bigger cad and a bounder than HRH big ears for that one. How frightfully beastly.

Ill bet that gobshite Elton John didnt write that one. Quite an improvement on that other one.
Something about "mangled in the wind " or such like.

Reminds me of a tune about Di.

Bye, Bye, Dodi and Di
Drove the Merc to the Tunnel
But they couldn't get by
And Henri Paul was drinking Whisky and Rye
Singing this will be the day that you die...
This will be the day that you die..
Die, Die, Dodi & Di
(repeat ad nauseum)

What a bloody waste of time and money. Let us not forget that it is, and always has been, their ilk who have caused all the trouble for Ireland. All the little sheep throughout the world will be swallowing all the garbage spewed out by the western media about these two pathetic creatures. Camilla may look like a horse, but Charles is probably one of the finest specimens of in - breeding ever produced.

Viewers were asked whether they had any interest in the British royal wedding

3 percent said yes

97 percent said NO

But we'll still be bombarded with the nonsense any way. The Irish media says were supposed to be interested, so thats it apparently.
