Maybe the blueshirts would have some advice for the US/UK in deaing with terrorists, considering their successful dealings with the terroristic elemenets in the civil war

I think you will find that collins would have very little in common with kenny. its worth pointing out that the murder of republican prisoners by free state forces commenced months after collins was killed in action.

while CiC of the free state forces, collins continued to supply guns to the IRA in the 6 counties and he also arranged the assassination in london of sir henry wilson former chief of the imperial general staff and recently elected unionist mp.

collins continued to put out peace feelers to the republican forces. all in all rather unorthodox behaviour for a free stater.

collins was definitely a slightly constitutional politician.

"collins was definitely a slightly constitutional politician."

You say that like it's a good thing.....

in the context of a British threat of 'shock and awe' and their slightly unconstitutional refusal to accept rejection of their occupation it was not an unreasonable position for Collins to adopt.
it is always hard to second guess how the dead would view events after their death but I dont think Mick would be lining up for membership of the Reform Movement and is probably spinning in his grave at the novel concept of Fine Gael hijacking the memory of a military opponent of British occupation

well no actually just someone who finds the concept of Kenny trying to imply that he has somehow taken on the mantle of Collins as laughable

Ridiculous and regrettable yes, not so sure about the laughs though.

You're getting to be a wee bit obsessive 'bout me, DD.

Wasn't me, son, wasn't me.
