you cannot control a movement

Look at the amount of time spent on general political discussion against the amount of time for organisation. And where are the nominations for the "Steering Committee" ???Has the Socialist party lost all its marbles. Do you guys actually want to continue to participate in this comedy in order bolster up a failed strategy of the SWP.

Apart from the SWP, is there going to be anyone else at this meeting? Realisitically?

'That the IAWM disband as it is clear to all that it is entirely comtroled by the SWP, has no credibility, has lost all its independent members, is run completely undemocratically, and is not representative of the majority of anti-war activists'

'That the Socialist Party proposes that the Socialist Party be expelled from the IAWM so as to retain a tiny shred of credibility'

'That the Socialist Party opposes bogus branches, opposition to direct action......' oops, sorry Richard, that ones for the Anti-Bin Tax AGM

'That Glenda Cimono and Colin Coulter explain why they are still playing the part of willing puppets to the SWP'

'That this meeting agrees that RBB is really telegenic and goes down nicely in greater Dun Laoghaire but that Kieran Allen is the real boss'

Genuine anti-war activists should boycott this conference. The IAWM is nothing more than an SWP front.

Anti-War Ireland should be supported by socialists who seriously believe in a broad-based anti-war movement and who want a say in the running of it. The SWP have no interest in working with people who disagree with them. They have a stranglehold on the IAWM.

Boycott? Sounds sensible but then you look underneath it to reasons:
"Genuine anti-war activists should boycott this conference." Oh yeah like Mr. Vice et al?? What was that Mr. Vice a state agent?? Pardons? What?
Anti War Ireland? Who are they? How are they broad based?

The crazy syntax coupled with sectarian bile plus the inevitable accusation that ANY opponent of the SWP is a state agent makes it a certainty that Tom (above) is one of Kieran's poodles. And this time I know exactly who it is. Post again Tom, if you dare, and I'll name you.

One thing is certain Tom - Anti-War Ireland has the support of most active anti-war activists across the country. Lots of people who have mucho respect. The IAWM? The SWP and...are the SP still involved? I agree with the comment calling for anti-war activists to boycott this discreditted SWP front. No serious anti-war activists are involved with the IAWM. It's just SWP members.
