Dawda Sannah, a Gambian national, is currently being held in Clover Hill prison, Dublin awaiting deportation from the state. 24 year old Dawda has made many
friends in his time in Ireland, particularly in Waterford and has been promised a job and accommodation by a local business in Waterford if he is allowed to stay.
If he is forced to return to Gambia, his life may be under threat.

A letter was sent to Dawda asking him to present himself to the gardai, but the letter was sent to a hostel in Waterford, despite the fact that Dawda has been living in Dublin for several months.

On the basis of him not answering this letter (which he didn't even know existed) Dawda was arrested and is now in Clover Hill. The only person who can grant him humanitarian leave to stay in Ireland is Michael McDowell.

Please write to Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, 72-76 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 (Tel: 01-602 8202/E-Mail: info@justice.ie) asking him to release Dawda Sannah (DOB 10/03/1980, Ref. No. 69/69/32017/01) from prison and allow him to stay in Ireland. You can also contact local politicians and ask them to take up Dawda's case.
