It's not a good idea to go to the garda auction. It would only be of benefit to retired members of the Gang Heavy Gang.

"It" being the non-crossing of Capel St. bridge? What was the reaction?

author by cm'erpublication date Sun Mar 28, 2004 21:08author address author phone Report this post to the editors

We were turning left down the quays anyway, we never had any intention of crossing the Grattan (not "Capel Street") bridge. The Garda never said anything about not crossing the bridge - he said that we were all liable for a summons because it was getting dark and not all of us had lights. When someone said to him we were finishing up in O'Connell Street he said fine, no problem.

"Communication is the key" (snigger)

I left before the mass reached Capel St. I must say that considering the small numbers it was good craic, the cops tagged along behind on their bikes and were very chilled out.
It was agreed to stay away from the wider streets in the city centre because of the small numbers which was a good plan. The mass got a bit spread out towards the end of parnell st, but generally everyone worked well together and the signs are good for a growth over the next few months. No messengers and very few DCC cyclists where were y'all.
