offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Bush backs Bertie

category national | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Saturday February 14, 2004 22:12author by R Isible Report this post to the editors

The Independent, Irish Times carry similar reports

Looks like a press release was obtained by the journalists at the IT and the Indo.

Bush is reported to be due for a state visit to Ireland sometime in the start of summer according to reports appearing today (Saturday 14th Feb, 2004)

There has long been speculation that Bush will be appearing in Ireland and it looks like the Taoiseach's advisors must have decided that the only thing that will help him win the next election is for him to be associated with an anti-european war-criminal.

The Independent's "Brian Dowling and Susan Garraty in Washington" spin on the story is that Bertie will get a "boost" in the polls as a result of the visit. The speculation is that the "EU-US" summit will occur outside of Dublin in a location with little or no public transportation. (Is this why the rail service has been decimated over the last decade?) and may be in the vicinity of Shannon, perhaps Ashford or Dromoland Castle. Certainly it is expected to occur _before_ June 11th when the local and European elections will be held.

I'm sure Bertie will push the boat out for that one. I wonder if Dubya will stay in a tent in Mary McAleese's back garden? Or maybe Royston Brady will offer to put him up.

He'd be safe there we all know how the Sw.. um i mean IAWM feel about that place

The current IAWM shift away from Shannon as a focus is rather baffling to me also. I have tried to avoid the kneejerk cynicism some people have about the IAWM and the SC in particular, but to put Shannon on the back burner is a travesty and would make me wonder very deeply about what is going on. I feel disappointed and let down by that push on the 31st to shift the focus so pointedly away from the locus of our government's complicity. Give Bertie what he wants on a plate, why don't you.

What puzzles me is, even if what people say is true and there is one leftist party pulling the strings, why would a leftist party come up with such a strategy? What is the thinking behind being as conservative as possible and as within a right-wing state's desired boundaries as possible, when you are purporting to be a revolutionary socialist party? Am I missing something here? Is there a passage in Marx that I somehow glossed over that says we shouldn't bring our protests to the place where the machinery of imperialism is being facilitated, but take it elsewhere? If someone could enlighten me on this some day, I would be grateful. To me, it is one of the great riddles of our time.

But i always thought it was very strange that fintan lane got imprisoned just before a proposed mass Shannon Direct action thereby handing the SWP the Role of PRO for the IAWM and resulting in a much diluted event which lasted less than 2 hours.
If the SWP are not actively in collusion with the Irish Authorities, they are in my honest opinion, the States preferred opposition, and i cant decide which one of those situations is worse for the Global justice movement in ireland

Big guns brought out for Bush
DON LAVERY

THE largest ever security operation seen in this country involving thousands of gardai and soldiers - along with American fighter jets - will protect President George Bush when he visits Ireland this summer.

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has confirmed that he will host the high profile EU-US summit early in the summer, likely to be at a venue outside Dublin, after months of uncertainty about the meeting.

While White House and Irish Government officials have begun examining venues and dates, no announcement will be made without detailed security planning by both governments.

While the visit will be opposed by thousands of anti-war protesters, both governments are acutely aware of the ever present danger of a terrorist attack ranging from suicide bombers to a September 11-style strike.

Asked about the possibility of a President Bush visit, and that Ireland cannot defend its airspace because it has no interceptor aircraft, a spokeswoman for the American Embassy said: "That is a matter for the Irish Government."

It is understood that US Air Force F-15 Eagle fighters based in the UK will be used to provide air cover for the visit. Low level air defence up to 10,000 feet will be provided by Irish army RBS-70 surface-to-air (SAM) missiles with a range of 5kms along with EL-70 anti-aircraft guns controlled by Flycatcher radar.

The threat of aerial attack has been taken so seriously by US security officials that the Czech government had to pass a special law to allow US fighters to patrol over Prague during a Nato summit before President Bush could attend.

Defence Minister Michael Smith has admitted that Ireland would have to seek outside help if there was a September 11-type attack.

Shannon is the most likely arrival point for Air Force One carrying President Bush and his entourage and its seven mile perimeter will have to be secured by hundreds of gardai and soldiers backed up by armoured vehicles.

Army officers have identified several sites within a three-mile radius of the runways where shoulder-fired SAMs could be used against aircraft, so roving ground and air patrols will be used to counter that threat.

We may have a half-decent army (sic), but a desperate police force compared to other states along with underdeveloped security is simply an invitation to terrorists. Dont get me wrong. I'm only worried about the people here, but I think Ireland simply isnt ready for a visit from todays most hated man on earth.

The fact the GWB has already been on this island has seemed to be forgotten by alot of posters from this site, he was hushed off into hillsborough castle while a few thousand protested his presence around a wall of British army and RUC .......

Although in saying that as an activist present at that protest we should have had thousands more - but thousands seem to forget about shit when it happens across a border........

Deirdre asked this above.
The SWP is based in Dublin. They want to recruit people.
Going to Shannon, especially going to Shannon to engage in some form of direct action, tends to attract more experienced activists, from around the country. These people are less interested in being recruited, and are harder to chase up from Dublin.
Demonstrations in Dublin, especially demos in Dublin that are just marches from point A to point B, attract a different crowd. A crowd that is less experienced, so more likely to be open to recruitment, and more easily available for follow-up activities (house calls, invitations to meetings and 'petitions').
Also, in Dublin, you can make a big deal out of your revolutionary rhetoric. In Shannon, that rhetoric is going to be contrasted with people taking direct action.

It wasnt that it happend across a border. It was because it was announced a few days before it actually happend. If everyone knew has was going to be in ireland at least a month or two in advance, there would of been a very different scene to the one last year.

I wasn't in Hillsborough cause like most people I'm not a fulltime activist (though I was appraoching the status at that time) and cannae get from one end of the country to the other in a drop of a hat. Ulsterians would be better looking to themselves to mobilise people in their area rather than looking for activists to come in from elsewhere (likewise with people in other parts). Unless that is we want a super-activist clique that cuts itself off from the rest of the population by making riduculous demands on people.
