New data shows the Met Office's 'record' heat spikes are junk, weaponised by Net Zero activists to scare the public witless and push the no-hydrocarbons fantasy, says the Daily Sceptic's Environment Editor.

First External Visit by Palestinian Prime Minister

category international | eu | event notice author Thursday February 05, 2004 13:02author by iosaf Report this post to the editors

to Bertie.

His Excellency Ahmed Qurei (Abu Ala), will meet with an Taoiseach Bertie in Dublin
on February 9th.
This will be his first extra-territorial official visit.

The purposes of the visit will be to breathe life into the Road Map, and excite interest in a tranquil co-existence between Palestinian and Israeli, who haven't being doing so well for a while.
Also on the agenda will be the proposals of the EU, (of which Bertie is numero uno), the USA led by Bush (2), the UN with funky Kofi, and of course Russia which used to be the USSR and is led by trustworthy but possibly a bit vicious Mr Putin.
[The former "premier" of the USSR, attractive seventy something Mikhail Gorbachev, has incidently abandoned his career in pizza to accept a star role, lecturing the West on sustainably ecological development at Forum 2004 in Barcelona]

This visit will follow on the January 5th encounter between His Excellency Nabil Shaath, the Palestinian Foreign Minister, and Bertie, and pals.

Protests will be organised by Avi H. and pals, who will promptly spit fury and prejudice in ensuing comments section.

I hope that the main thrust of his visit will be to try convince EU leaders that their governments must respect international human rights law and support the hearing before the ICJ relating to the legality of the Wall.

Palestinian Prime Minister Qurei visits Dublin for talks on peace process

Date: 9 Feb 2004

The Taoiseach and President of the European Council Mr. Bertie Ahern welcomed Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei in Dublin today for discussions on a range of issues, including the Middle East peace process, the status of the Roadmap, means of reviving negotiations, and the role of the European Union in the peace process.

The Taoiseach expressed his support for an early meeting between the Israeli and Palestinian Prime Ministers and was briefed on preparations for holding such a meeting by Prime Minister Qurei. Ireland would like to see both sides make a package of small, concrete and visible steps which would serve to restart the process.

Both the Taoiseach and Prime Minister Qurei condemned terrorism and called for an end to violence in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The Taoiseach said Ireland would work with our partners in the European Union, with the other members of the Quartet, and with the Israeli and Palestinian Governments to hasten the day when the peoples of the Middle East can live together in security and friendship.
