The truth about Mary Kelly

Fact: Mary Kelly shares platform with dissident republicans who support terrorism in Northern Ireland.

Source: The Sunday People Newspaper, 31st August 2003.

Question: Why didn't Indymedia.ie expose her before now??

Answer: Because they only want 'news' on this website that suits their personal political viewpoints.

Conclusion: You don't get balanced news coverage on this website. Anything that doesn't appeal to the faceless controllers and manipulators at Indymedia HQ is censored.

when was that Caspian?
You write as if you know the woman, so you obviously remember that during the Vietnam war she was indeed a friend of Mark Kelly & where was she....oh yes London, then Donegal.
hmmm. and where is she now? .....oh yes Venezuela.

stop trolling.

Any woman who has the guts to smash in the nose cone of an American killing machine is a hero in my book. I wish I was as brave as her. I remember another hero of mine, Jenny James, who shackled herself to a B52 in Cambodia at the height of the Vietnam war. Mary Kelly can do no wrong, ever, as far as I am concerned. She should be made the next president of Ireland instead of the two previous Bilderberg promoted ninnies.
Stop finding fault and go out and punch that scumbag Bertie Aherne on the nose instead. To think he is a fellow Dubliner! Shame!

Mary, if you are reading this, another £100 will be on the way to you soon.

Capitalism works for me and you, your family, your friends, your co.workers, ect. But what about the kid who made your nike airs? Or the Coca-cola worker who got shot because he wanted to join a union. Or the 3 billion people in the third world?
What the above statement said was that a terrorist group supported the dissarming of an aeroplane. Not that the protestor supporteded terrorism.
I often find it humourus reading the many posts that go up, that consider all protestors to be hormone driven anarchist youths, or melode out hippies. If you, or anyone else for that matter, intends to make a statement that you would like others to take seriosly, at the very least, know who your talking about.

We are not against the American people. But we are against the American governments foreign policies. And when you consider their long history of meddling in other countries affairs, can you blame us?
Mary Kelly had every right to attack that plane. It has no right here, and the Irish people don't want them here.

The crackdown by police at international summits on anarchist morons, anti-war loonies and anti globalization nutcases who wish to cause property damage and the complete indifference their childish antics arouse from Bush, Blair and other world leaders will eventually lead to nihilistic terrorism.
The vast majority of people in the West and increasingly worldwide vote for conservative or else moderate socialist politicians because they have realised that democratic liberal capitalism is the only system that works of the greater good of all. They see the disasters that communism, fascism and religious fundamentalism have wrought on the world. They laugh at loons who advocate surrendering to terrorists and backward inward looking localisation.
The anti-war, anti- capitalist, anti- everything movement are simply not being listened to.
so they want to force us to listen. If we don't agree they will turn to terror.
Mary Kelly talking to Real/ continuity IRA is only the begining of a growing trend. Like wise the solidarity with Islamic terrorists by the extreme left. Like wise their hatred of America.

[moved to become comment by R Isible] RSF supporters cheer Mary Ward.
Mary Ward speaks at Republican commemoration.
THE woman accused of causing $1.5 million worth of damage to a US
jet at Shannon Airport was loudly cheered yesterday by dissident
Irish republicans opposed to the IRA ceasefire when she urged that
Irish protests against the American presence in Iraq should
continue.

Ms Mary Kelly, 50, from Baltimore, Co Cork, and often described as
a "peace activist", was speaking at a rally in Bundoran, Co Donegal,
organised by Republican Sinn Fein - a group which is opposed to the
North's peace process - to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the H-
Block hunger strike deaths in Long Kesh in 1981.

She shared a platform with relatives of some of the dead hunger-
strikers and with the veteran Republican Sinn Fein brothers, Ruairi
and Sean O Bradaigh.

Senior garda and Government sources say Republican Sinn Fein is a
political front for the dissident republican faction, the Continuity
IRA. RSF denies this.

However, members of the party have been arrested and sentenced for
Continuity IRA-related offences.

The party devotes considerable energy to supporting Continuity IRA
prisoners in Portlaoise and Maghaberry Prison in Northern Ireland.

Around 400 supporters of Republican Sinn Fein marched through the
normally bustling seaside resort.

Holidaymakers watched silently from the doors of pubs, hotels and
amusement arcades as the demonstrators marched past behind a couple
of bands and a Fianna Eireann colour party in black berets and dark
glasses. The colour party included a couple of boys about eight
years old.

Ms Kelly is expected to know in October if she is to face a retrial
on a charge of criminal damage to the US jet.

She was one of several protestors arrested for breaching the
perimeter security fence around Shannon airport at the height of the
build-up to the Iraqi offensive.

A court failed to reach a verdict in her first trial. However the
Judge Carl Moran said, "if people are allowed to express their
political views by damaging property it would not be long before
there was mob rule and rioting in the streets."

She has been twice convicted of trespass at Shannon airport when
American planes carrying troops and weapons were stopping over on
their way to the war in Iraq.

Hi Mandy,

We all have real faces (well, speaking for myself; if any IMCers have had a nose job or anything done in the recent past, it's not common knowledge). And if you think this 'story' has been suppressed, do point it out; such action wouldn't be acceptable at all. However, has it escaped your attention that there have been a number of articles critical of Mary Kelly on the newswire before? In fact, there has been discussion and debate on her republican 'links' for a long time, indeed before most lazy journos knew who she was, there was a long and (in my opinion) informative debate over her acceptance of an award from some armchair republicans in New York.

So, pray tell, how is this suppression? Surely it's the Sunday People and the Sindo (for they had it this weekend too) that are behind the times? Why don't you write an article about this issue, if it bugs you - use the search engine and check out the older articles, then blow us over with your insight...
