New analysis of millions of temperature records shows most warming happened before CO2 even got going, calling BS on the idea that humans are behind climate change, says the Daily Sceptic's Environment Editor.

Everything You Need to Know About International Law in the 21st Century But Were Too Afraid to Ask Mon Jan 05, 2026 07:00 | James Alexander
Is 'International law' just a rhetorical phrase signalling our disapproval of a military adventure or does it refer to a set of inviolable rules that all states have agreed to? Neither, says Prof James Alexander.

Here Endeth the ?Superflu? Sun Jan 04, 2026 19:00 | Dr Carl Heneghan and Dr Tom Jefferson
The "superflu" fizzled out like every winter bug does, but the media and NHS had everyone panicking anyway, say Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson. We need less drama and more data; we've all seen winters before.

Jump To Comment: 1 2 3Hi!
Supporters of this event, from the Kilmainham area of Dublin, have kindly organised and donated 40th anniversary commemorative medals for those brave enough to seek sponsorship and earn it on the day - don't know if the medals are waterproof, but they're surely 'proof' of the dedication of all involved!
More re same at the 'Related Link' , below.
Thanks,
Sharon.
Commemorative medals will be presented to the Cabhair swimmers on Christmas Day next, to mark the 40th anniversary of the event.
Hi!
There has been a fantastic response to this annual event from people in the area and the so-far confirmed four (sponsored) swimmers have been dining out for the last two weeks on the strength of their up-coming derring-do to the extent, I think, that those attending will be expecting the four lads to walk on the water rather than swim in it!
The usual 'goodies' are being donated and stored and Santa has promised to visit - it's good to go, and we're all looking forward to meeting up with old friends, and making new ones.
If you're around that part of Dublin on Christmas Day, between 11am and 1pm, drop by and say hello, pull a cracker, have a mince pie and a sup of 'lemonade' - you'll be welcome!
Thanks,
Sharon.
1,000 printed items of a republican nature have been collated into 'packs' and distributed pub-to-pub and door-to-door in the 'Swim' area.
Hi!
Done and dusted, until the 41st in '17!
We had decent enough weather - mild, overcast and windy - a fairly good crowd and six swimmers, each of whom earned their keep, with hardly any hesitation! The usual 'goodies' were available, the Irish tricolour flew proudly from the Naas Road end of the swim site, the music system blared out some good stuff and we were surveilled electronically more so than physically.
The organisers can be proud of the work they put in and the six lads were proud to receive their '40th Swim Anniversary' medals : all-in-all, a job very well done!
A few words and pics can be seen at the 'Related Link' , below.
Thanks!
Sharon.
The six Cabhair swimmers and their little extra bonus!
