 Soil Conference in Ireland, to celebrate the UN International Year of Soils This is the only conference in Ireland, this year, to celebrate the International Year of Soils. Join us at Claregalway Castle, in county Galway, on Monday 6th July, at the Irish conference on soils, with keynote speakers, Dr Elizabeth Stockdale of Newcastle University, & Ian Tolhurst of Tolhurst Organics. There are also planned, a number of panels speakers, many experienced in various strategies which are demonstrated to grow soil, in diverse Irish environments. Opportunities to question & debate, discuss & network, all in a beautiful & tranquil location in the West of Ireland - this is the only Irish event planned for this, the UN International Year of Soils. About The Mayo Organic Group Our aim is to promote organic horticulture and farming techniques and principles by providing a lively programme of cutting edge talks throughout the year from Soft Cheese Making, Coppicing, Fruit Tree Grafting, Seed Saving, Forest Gardening, Bee Friendly Garden Plants, to Foraging. Garden and farm walks are organised throughout the year, as well as foraging and herbal walks, so members can witness ideas in action! Our meetings are also a forum for selling produce. Members are encouraged to bring any produce they have for sale to any of our monthly meetings and advertise on our webring.
