Lawless Libya: A Racist Régime of Torture and Murder

category international | anti-war / imperialism | other press author Sunday April 22, 2012 15:16author by An Draighneán Donn Report this post to the editors

Being Black in Libya, under the NTC régime, means being subjected to racially motivated torture and lynching.

This Australian documentary shows the Holocaust that the Irish Anti-War Movement, the SWP, SP, Provisional Sinn Féin, The Irish Labour Party, FF and FG all supported and helped to inflict on innocent people:

Gaddafi may have gone from Libya amid scenes of celebration, but what’s left behind is a country in chaos.

Heavily armed rebels still control much of the country, with towns in ruins, infrastructure destroyed and a justice system struggling to get back on track.

Dateline’s Yaara Bou Melhem gets rare access to the prisons where thousands of people, perceived to have sided with the former regime, are being held indefinitely without charge.

She also visits the country’s sprawling refugee camps to document stories of torture and abuse.

Elections take place in June, amid new tension over a split between the country’s east and west, so what does the future hold for Libya?

I wonder what these racist gangs will dare to charge Saif al-Islam with? Will they be able to think of any atrocity to charge him with, that they themselves dont carry out on a daily basis? And does anyone imagine that a wild gang like the NTC and their sub gangs, would be capable of holding any type of trial. They are far more used to just lynching people because they don't like the colour of their skin.
