New political push against hare coursing

Tuesday January 31, 2012 08:29 by Ban Hare Coursing Now!
We hope politicians of all parties who oppose the savagery of hare coursing will support the Private Members Bill that Dail Deputies Maureen O’ Sullivan and Clare Daly intend to move shortly. Picture shows: right to left: Minister Joe Costello, Deputy Clare Daly, Noel Gregory (brother of the late independent TD Tony Gregory), Roderick O' Gorman, Green Party Chairman, and Aideen Yourell, PRO of the Irish Council Against Blood Sports. We are delighted to say that a government minister, Labour's Joe Costello, joined the well attended protest against live hare coursing on January 30th outside the Department of Agriculture in Dublin. He stood shoulder with Clare Daly, Green Party leader Eamon Ryan and Noel Gregory, brother of the late Tony Gregory who first raised the hare coursing issue in the Dail.

We'll quit chasing hares with hounds if you let us use cute little dobies to chase the holier than thou crusty protestors!
Just Imagine.....A liberal lefty on the receiving end.. aahh bliss!
Why not have Bruno and pals run around a Cheetah track in front of a couple of specially blooded Cheetahs.
Watching this could be a very lucrative national pastime. Of course the devotees of the "sport"would tell us that no-one could be more sorry than they for Bruno and his pals whenever one or two of them failed to escape the chasing hungry Cheetahs and got killed.
The "lefties" would protest and eventually the Cheetahs would be muzzled. The "lefties" would not be satisfied and continue to protest.
But no doubt Bruno is one of those brave hearts who would prefer to run the race before unmuzzled Cheetahs?
