Talks taking place in County Galway on the health and environmental effects of mobile phone masts, and what to do about it, with two renowned experts.

‘It’s shocking, that people are not aware of the consequences of microwave radiation.’
John Ryan, Tipperary farmer

Ryan, his family and farm animals all suffered various effects from microwaves which ended when he successfully had a mast removed from his land.

These are the details of the talks taking place in County Galway, May 2011:

Shocking Health Hazards & Impact of Wireless Communications

Venue: Ballymacward Community Hall

Day 1
Saturday 7th May, 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Presenters: Paul Doyon and the Alliance for Irish Radiation Protection.
This first talk will cover the fundamentals, a local action plan for reduction of mobile phone mast signals, and a Q/A session.

Day 2
Sunday 8th May 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Presenter: Paul Doyon .goes into greater depth on the science of health and environmental effects.
Paul will also share his personal story and experiences, with use of fascinating visuals.

• Documented health effects on humans, including DNA damage, cancer, autism, ADHD, chronic fatigue, depression
and epilepsy. Intensified health damage to children and babies.

effects.

On a related matter the Tetra system which is slightly different than the standard mobile radio system is used by the police force in the UK and it has now been adopted by the Garda in Ireland.

As soon as the system went in there were significant health problems both in the local communities and reported amongst the police in the UK, although the latter were eventually silenced

There was a great article on the whole background to this in The Ecologist magazine back in 2004 titled 'A Popular Revolt' and the article itself can be downloaded from here: http://www.tetrawatch.net/papers/ecologist170904.pdf

There is now a group called TetraWatch based in UK and their website is given below. It is likely that those affected by phone masts may want to read up on some of this material

TETRA stands for ‘Terrestrial Trunked Radio’. It is the new police radio system, operated by O2 under the brand name Airwave. It is also used by fire and ambulance in some places (in the UK)
