COLLUSION.

category national | miscellaneous | other press author Friday November 11, 2005 16:33author by Séan Ó Murchú PRO - RSF CorK Report this post to the editors

Provisional Sinn Fein had secured legislation which will cover up the truth about collusion between members of the security forces and loyalist terror groups.

The Provo's have negotiated an amnesty for rogue members of the RUC and British Army which will keep them out of jail. That may not bother the British Government or Provisional Sinn Fein.

It will certainly go down well with the British Army`s secret Forces Research Unit that spearheaded collusion. But it will bother victims of state planned murder. They have not been consulted about a word of this.

We have seen collusion in the past between the state and paramilitaries. Now we are seeing collusion on the past between Provisional Sinn Fein and the British Government - each helping the other to cover up their dirty secrets.

The hypocrisy and barefaced dishonesty of Provisional Sinn Fein in its collusion with the British Government in covering up the past has caused great offence to many victims families.

Provisional Sinn Fein now ignores victims of collusion when they travel to Westminster and Stormont.

This Bill will deny victims of collusion and state killings the truth about what happened.

It covers not just the Provos, but loyalists and people in the RUC or British Army who committed murder. Not one of them will do time, and that is what Provisional Sinn Fein has signed up to.

Martin MacGuinness on last nights 10th November 'Hearts and Minds' a BBC Ulster current affairs program stated that it is a good deal for Provisional Sinn Fein.

It is also an even better deal for the British Government, which can close the books on everything from the Finucane murder to the Dublin/Monaghan bombings without answering awkward questions.

But it is a very bad deal for everyone else.
