Martin Cullen hires a less than beautiful new P.R.Man.!

category national | politics / elections | opinion/analysis author Saturday July 02, 2005 20:47author by John McDermottauthor address Gran Canaria ,Spain Report this post to the editors

From Carrickmines to Tara, march the Soldiers of Destiny.

Who are the robbers mentioned in Martin Cullen,s press release at the opening of the M 50.?
Open at last
Open at last

The Notorious Martin Cullen Minister for Environmental Destruction;Air Terminal chaos ; Crushed Castles;Heritage Destruction;E- voting Machines; and- last but not least -Beautiful Consultants:- the said Mimister opened the last leg of the M50 motorway Dublins only(and oldest) ring road. First mooted 33 years ago..it has at last been completed.! It is however not surprisingly a parking lot at peak periods, partly due to his lucrative Toll Bridge. Another such project is now a gleam in Martin's eye!.
As he lit up another cigarette,in the breezy hills of Carrickmines he declared to the stunned media ' that those who oppose 'necessary infrastructure' are 'robbing the taxpayers of Ireland' .This shock promulgation was probably quite effective in distracting the journalists from more concrete facts about the 'new' motorway.
It took longer to build than the number of years Jesus Christ spent upon Earth.
The last 12 kilometres cost some 600 million euros, some 50 million per Kilometre.
The reason for this was that a gentleman named Frank Dunlop had made cash payments to many Fianna Fail (some others too) county councillors, in the Dunlaoghaire-Rathdown county council, to facilitate the re-zoning of the Carrickmines lands which border the motorway. The shadowy company which owns the land and received massive payments for the land at re-zoned prices,of taxpayers money-is an offshore entity called 'Jackson Way' .The beneficial owner is believed to be one Liam Kennedy a former one armed bandit casino owner in Dublin and relative of the notoriously corrupt Dublin City Council manager George Redmond.Liam now controls his extensive property portfolio from the security of the Isle of Man a small offshore tax haven for hoodlums of every conceivable activity, located in the middle of the Irish Sea,some 35 kilometres off the coast of Ireland.
Martin Cullen however was believed to be referring to the small group of conscientiuous heritage enthusiasts who attempted to prevent the National Roads Authority from building an interchange on the historic remains of an old Anglo-Saxon fortification discovered duting excavations,by appealing too the Judiciary to halt the vandalism.
This saga is estimated to have cost a trifling (relatively speaking) 20 million Euros to the hard burdened irish taxpayer.! Who pray tell us Martin are the 'robbers' then. Your county Councillors;the shadowy speculators; or the conscientious objectors.?
Question; Is Martin Goebels alive, living somewhere in Ireland, and operating an 'image grooming' expensive, public relations consultancy for Fianna Fail Ministers .-even better than the one Martin Cullen commissioned in Waterford( under the personal management of the beautiful Monica Leech.) ?
