On BBC Politics Chris Packham claimed "something called science" is evidence that the recent Dubai flooding was caused by climate change. But there's nothing scientific about the models that 'prove' that, says Paul Sutton.

The Church of England announced £100m in reparations for profiting from the slave trade. But now a historian has shown this is a mistake: the church never profited from slavery. Will the woke ever get their history right?

Submission to White Paper

category national | anti-war / imperialism | opinion/analysis author Thursday September 26, 2013 12:21author by Margaretta D'Arcy - Women in Media and Entertainment Report this post to the editors

Article 29 of Constitution -International Justice and Morality.

Submission to the White Paper on Defence Government should be tried under Nuremberg Charter.

We are a collective of women; some of us very elderly. Some of us directly experienced wars; some of us have spent time in jail opposing war; the build up to war. We have buried our dead because of war. We have looked after and cared for those physically and psychologically damaged by war. We have experienced domestic violence by men, who have been traumatized by their time in war. We have suffered through the growth of the armed industry and the cost of filling the coffers or the armament industry merchants; the rough the devastation of the social services of our country. This is not only in our Country; this is worldwide

This is not only in our Country; this is worldwide.
In your paper there is no mention of the causes of war.

Looking back at history; the causes of war are quite simple. That is; the territorial claims of resources. We submit; THAT WHAT WE KNOW AS WARS IS OBSOLETE.
WARS BEGET WARS.

There is an opportunity as we are a small country with our Constitution.......
Under Article 29 of the Irish Constitution Paragraph 2 of this Article states: “Ireland affirms its adherence to the principle of the pacific settlement of international disputes by international arbitration or judicial determination.”

Article 1. Ireland affirms its devotion to the ideal of peace and friendly co-operation amongst nations founded on international justice and morality.

1. We cannot have international justice on morality; without starting in our own Country. The base of the future has got to be with our children in the Educational system. In the Educational system;right at the very beginning; children have got to understand the concepts of justice and morality. Not just theory;but practice. i.e. a child is quarreling with another child re who owns what....from that experience; the teacher can teach from little incidents how a war starts. Then the class have to decide a specific settlement.

2. No mention of women or women's role. Women, children and the elderly are the great causalities of war; and women are left to pick up the pieces of war.

No consideration has been given to the security council's resolution of 1325; that women must be given prominent place in all negotiations. Resources can be given so that the women of Ireland can look to methods for the obsolete methods of war. e.g SHANNON AIRPORT.

Where the general consensus is that the use of Shannon by the military; is because of the economic benefits of Shannon Airport CONTRARY to International Law and the Nuremberg Charter. In other words the de - sensitization of international justice and morality. The immediate problems of jobs and earning a living to survive - crudely put; blood money.

Finally; until the Government seriously takes a hold of article 29:1 from the bottom up; we have to say that the Government should put itself forward for trial to the people of Ireland; under the violation of the Nuremberg Charter.

Yours sincerely
