Breaking news: Italian MP, Sgarbi denounces the Statistical Fraud on COVID-19. The speech of the Member of Parliament Vittorio Sgarbi in the session of the Italian Camera, Meeting no. 331 of Friday 24, April, 2020. Vittorio Sgarbi, denounces the closure of 60% of the businesses for 25,000 COVID-19 Deaths, of which the National Institute of Health says 96.3% died NOT of COVID-19 but of other pathologies. That means only 925 have died of the virus. 24,075 have died of other things.2009-08-22T03:35:08+00:00Indymedia Irelandimc-ireland@lists.indymedia.iehttp://www.indymedia.ie/atomfullposts?story_id=93741http://www.indymedia.ie/graphics/feedlogo.gifThis is a bit hypocritical!!http://www.indymedia.ie/article/93741#comment2580732009-08-22T03:35:08+00:00Hurler on the DitchDidn't one of the organisers of Over the Edge say in a letter to a Galway paper ...Didn't one of the organisers of Over the Edge say in a letter to a Galway paper recently that they'd rather have dealings with the Salthill Airshow than the Galway Alliance Against War, who have been present many times at Shannon Airport demonstrating, when the over the Edge mob have been visibly absent? This, then, smacks of hypocrisy. Where did they get the photo from? And is there just a touch of sarcasm in the remarks about Sarah Clancy - a woman with a hundred times the courage of anyone in OTE? Let no one be fooled by the photo: it shouldn't have been given for use by people who attacked committed demonstrators in print and who wouldn't be seen next or near Shannon or any other demo. Over The Edge, as an organisation, has never made any comment whatsoever about Galway Alliance Against War.

The co-organisers of Over The Edge are though, as private individuals, entitled to comment on the tactics of Galway Alliance Against War.
Over The Edge has always made its platforms available to writers of every political viewpoint. John Throne, the founder of the Militant Tendency in Ireland (precursor to the Socialist Party) was a Featured Reader at an Over The Edge: Open Reading in September 2006. He read from his novel, 'The Donegal Woman', to a very large crowd. We have also had a number of members (and former members) of the Socialist Workers Party, who also happen to be writers, be Featured Readers at our events.

This will continue to be our policy.

Unlike some, we do not believe in censorship or in suppressing political viewpoints we may happen to disagree with.

Anyone is welcome to come along and participate in our events, the only qualification being that they must also be prepared to listen respectfully to what the other participating writers have to say.

Anyone interested in reading a poem or extract from a story at the upcoming Over The Edge: Open Reading in Galway City Library next Thursday, August 27th, should try and get there by the 6.30pm start time and give their name to Kevin Higgins, who will be compiling the list for the open-mic.
