Republican Sinn Féin will be holding a rededication ceremony at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin on Sunday May 29 at 12 Noon.
The Garden was hijacked for the visit of the Queen of England as part of the campaign to normalise British occupation of Ireland. The purpose of the ceremony is to rededicate the Garden to its original purpose ie, honouring all of the men and women who have died in pursuit of Irish Freedom since 1798.
The ceremony will include the laying of a wreath, readings of both the 1916 Proclamation and the Declaration of Independence of the First All-Ireland Dáil.
There will also be brief addresses by both the Patron of Republican Sinn Féin Ruairí Ó Brádaigh and the President Des Dalton.
