Renowned indie singer-songwriter, David Rovics and talented punk poet and performance artist Connor Kelly are to play a gig at Murray's on O'Connell Street, Dublin 1at 8.30 pm on Thursday 3 March.
David Rovics is well known globally to those struggling for social and economic justice. He has been a stalwart of the anti-war community, raising morale and inspiring and entertaining people with passionate performances of his politically hard-hitting and compassionate songs. Cindy Sheehan has referred to him as 'the peace poet and troubadour for our time', while Amy Goodman has called him 'the musical version of Democracy Now'.

Connor Kelly is a young, dynamic punk poet from Derry, engaged with many social and political issues. He has received much praise for his strong performances from critics, and his single 'Mad as Hell', recorded with his band, Connor Kelly and the Red Medicine reached no. 2 in the Northern Irish charts toward the end of 2010.
"CONNOR KELLY channels Allen Ginsberg and Patti Smith through infectious Music Hall piano melodies and an uncomprmising queer lyrical bent. A native of Derry, Connor’s brilliant debut album Damien (with band The Red Medicine) has confirmed him as one of the most exciting artists to come out of Northern Ireland in years. One to watch." - Outburst Arts Festival (Belfast).
