We want to commemorate the dead in Gaza due to Israeli 'Cast Lead" war last year.( More than 1,400 dead, of which 370 were children, 5,000 badly injured and 350,000 left homeless).

On the 1st Jan 2010 we will assemble at the Library in West Side at 2pm. We will then march peacefully via Cathedral to Shop St and on to Spanish Arch. Some groups want to pose on bridges, we may do this on Salmon Weir Bridge?? open to suggestions.

Please bring Palestinian flags banners and placards.

Sheik Khalid from the mosque in Galway is advising all his congregation to support the march.

People of all religions and none are all welcome.

The Viva Palestina Convoy of 250 vehicles, 500 people from 20 different countries are still stuck in the Port of Aqaba in Jordan as the Egyptians will not let them enter Egypt! 15 members of the convoy started a hunger strike yesterday, more are to join them today. Please pass this on to your friends and family we need as many people as possible in this Peace march to show our solidarity with the children and families in Gaza who are still suffering one year later with nothing but broken promises!

Any suggestions or ideas welcome.
