Enda Kenny is being criticised for taking a soft approach to the deportation controversy caused by Mayor of Limerick, Fine Gael Councillor Kevin Kiely.

The Mayor - who subsequently withdrew the remarks - met with his party leader this week but will not face any sanctions from his party.

The chairman of the Irish Polish Cultural and Business Association, Pat O'Sullivan is accusing Deputy Kenny of washing his hands of the matter.
