Marxist Internet Archive attacked

The Chinese government is suspected of being behind the recent “denial of service attacks” on the Marxist Internet Archive website . Brian Basgen who has worked on the site since 1990, says that ,since January , there have been hundreds of attacks ,99 percent of which emanate from China . As a consequence , the MIA may be forced to sacrifice its Chinese language material to keep the rest of the archive open . Although the attacks have only targeted Chinese files , security experts say that Chinese machines can be exploited by people outside the country, making the attacks appear to come from China .
