This was my first time at an action/protest at the Shell refinary site.

I must say, in my few hours at Ballinaboy, I was very impressed with the determination and spirit shown, especially by the locals . I got the impression that they are probably more, if not as determined as the day they started their struggle. This has to go down as the greatest struggle for working class rights since the 1913 lock-out. It's now in it's seventh year and looks like going into the next generation at least, of the community concerned.
