They date from 2242 to 1616.
Trinity has also got Piers Plowman amongst other books, however you need a special permission
to access some of the texts or be a student in the Lit Dept.
Interestingly the Annals were part of the field work of the Counter Reformation in the 1600's
at the Catholic University in Louvain:- which is known as Leuven (The home of Stella Artois
amongst other things). The Catholic University retains the French Spelling in its address and
domain name and recently celebrated it's 400th anniversary with a visit by President Mc Aleese,
a cultural programme and music based on the Flight of the Earls. Some donors gave hefty Cheques
to the initiative (incl. one of one million Euros).
A social Centre in Leuven was recently evicted due to the rising prices and property values
in this town and the local solarium and swimming pool was demolished, also for reasons
of gentrification and commerce.

The History of the University and Library at Leuven is quite gory, with many considering it a
'Martyr's' college, the reading and research in that area would be around the reign of Elizabeth the
First of England.
Alica Maher's exhibiton at the RHA in Ely Place will be over on the 28th of this month
and is worth the visit:-
