Galway's Western Writers' Centre tours three Irish-language poets
The Arts Council-sponsored Touring Experiment includes the Western Writers' Centre with €10,000 grant
Galway's Western Writers' Centre will tour three Irish-language poets, Liam O Muirthile, Dairena Ni Chinnéide and Joe Steve O Neachtain, under the Touring Experiment. They have been enabled to do this with a grant of €10,000.
"The Western Writers' Centre has always had an Irish-language brief," says the Centre Manager, Fred Johnston. "We have hosted numerous readings in the Irish-language. This will enable us to meet that brief more successfully and also to conduct the research required by the Touring Experiment. We are delighted to take part in it."
The three writers will read in various parts of the country.
