Celtic Structure Found During Road Excavation
All Things Considered, May 4, 2007 · While excavating a valley in the Irish city of Tara for a proposed highway, construction workers
uncovered the remains of a giant circular structure believed to be a Celtic temple. The discovery was important enough to halt construction, at least for now.
Melissa Block talks with Conor Newman, archaeology professor at the National University of Ireland, Galway, who visited the site two weeks ago.
