Ligue Odebi criticises French Constitutional Council on video violence law

Right-wing Sarkozy (Minister of the Interior), famous for provoking and fanning the riots of 2006 (see http://ie.indymedia.org/article/74925 ) has proposed a new law which would make it illegal for anyone except an accredited journalist to take footage of violence. The irony of the timing has not been lost on many as Tuesday was the anniversary of the Rodney King beating in LA which sparked what locals call the "uprising" and others call the "LA Riots".
