BARNEY HARTNETT - AMALGAMATED TRANSPORT AND GENERAL WORKERS UNION -
RETIRED MEMBERS DUBLIN BRANCH.

Barney Hartnett is a socialist. He is also an active member of his union.
In Ballymun on the North Side of Dublin, He has been editor of the local
community paper "The Ballymun Echo" for over 23 years.
Barney is also a member of the Retired Workers Commitee of Congress.
BARNEY BELIEVES THAT MUCH BETTER PENSIONS, HEALTH SERVICE, HOUSING ETC.
COULD BE PROVIDED FOR OUR ELDERLY, IF IRELAND'S TOP EARNERS PAID THEIR FAIR
SHARE OF TAX.
SOME OF THESE TOP EARNERS DO NOT PAY ANY TAX ACCORDING TO A RECENT REPORT BY
THE REVENUE COMMISSI0NERS.
THEY STASH CASH IN INVESTMENTS SUCH AS MULTI STOREY CAR PARKS ETC TO AVOID
TAXATION.
IN OUR SOCIETY GREAT WEALTH AND POVERTY EXIST SIDE BY SIDE.
BANK OF IRELAND MAKES THREE MILLION A DAY PROFIT AND 2000 IRISH PENSIONERS
DIE OF THE COLD EACH YEAR.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. PENSIONERS MUST FIGHT BACK.
