Suw Charman's talk from TCD entitled 'Government and Privacy in the Digital Age' is available at http://www.digitalrights.ie

I went to this talk a couple of weeks ago, thought it was very intresting. Suw Charman’s talk is mainly about Digital Rights and Privacy in the UK and how it relates to ID card legislation. but it is becomming more relevant to us here in Ireland as the minister for justice (McDowell) attempts to sneak the Irish version of the Patriot Act (wiretapping and retention of internet traffic) into law as well as provisions in his new Criminal Justice Bill regarding DNA swabbing of suspects and increased police powers.

The site also hosts a short Q&A after the talk.
