Int Womens Day events in Belfast

International Women's Day will be marked by a public lecture in the Belfast Institute of Further Ed, College Sq North, Belfast.
Title is
The Clarion Call; Women & the Spanish Civil War:
A talk and photo/ poster presentation

This will be given by Angela Jackson

The lecture will be part of IWD celebrations in BIFHE.

Just to say this was an excellent event, Angela Jackson gave a very interesting talk, with a presentation of photos, etc, on the role of women in the SCW. Concentrated on Spanish and British women, brief mentions of the Irish - there were only a dozen or so counting both sides.

It was well attended for a work time event, I'd guess about 70.

Hopefully her talk will be added to the website asap.
