'Justice For The Shannon 5 - Politicians Call For
Charges To Be Dropped'

John Gormley TD of the Green Party, Labour TD Joe Costello, and Sinn Fein TD Aengus O'Snodaigh will be amongst five Dail deputies demanding the criminal charges faced by the Shannon 5 be dropped, at a press conference in Buswell's hotel on Thursday November 10th at 1pm.

The five accused are Ciaron O'Reilly from Australia, Deirdre Clancy from Dublin, Nuin Dunlop from the U.S., Karen Fallon from Scotland, and Damien Moran from Offaly. Their second trial sensationally collapsed earlier this week after Defence Counsel for the accused alledged the presiding judge, Donagh MacDonagh, posed for a photograph with then Governor Bush in Texas in 1995, and subsequently attended the U.S. President's inauguration at the White House in 2000.

Other Dail TD's who have confirmed they will attend are Independant's Finian McGrath and Tony Gregory. The deputies will also address ongoing concerns regarding Shannon Airport been increasingly used as a pitstop for the US 'War on Terror'.

3 members of the Shannon 5, Ciaron O'Reilly, Karen Fallon, and Damien Moran will be in attendance at the press conference.
