Lazy "reporting" there. No mention of which speaker is supposed to be the fascist. Before crying fascist (a very serious term which shouldn't be used lightly), evidence should be provided to show how the speaker in question is a fascist.

A major ruckus is caused if a bunch of wannabe Hitlers is so much as mooted as being allowed to speak about a defunct political system that was defeated 60 years ago.All and sundry are screaming no platform for Fascists.Yet when a repesentative of a muderous ,medieval thuggish regime that gives no respect to our society and insits we should all be destroyed as w dont subscribe to its version of a true "god".We all bow and scrape to allow "fee speech" to such a creature.
The Hyprocrisy of this place is is disgusting!!!!

The question is which is that representative, who are you talking about and what do they stand for?
I happen to know which one - but not everyone does - so some people ask questions in order to be better informed.

Re: "truth be told".

Agree with your comments (though not the tone of it)

Except for one point however:-

"The Hyprocrisy of this place is is disgusting!!!!"

Assuming you mean this place as in Indymedia - should you not restate it as "the hypocrisy of some people in this place is disgusting"?

Regards,

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Al Muhajiroun disbanded?
Interesting to see Yvonne Ridley on the platform, guess that means we won't see ANL at the gates at least.

5/11/05 was last week, and this is an event.

anyway couldn't Mc Dowell put an exclusion order the way he attempted to do on a L&H debate (don't remember which one in the last years) and at the last minute had to relent and let in the "muslim spokesperson". And who takes the phil seriously anyway?

Well isn’t it better to talk to the nutjobs rather than pretend they don’t exist. I commend the Phil for debating such a controversial topic.

In my opinion, I think there should be no doubt that the speech that Mr Chorduary gave in Trinity College, Dublin was intent on inciting hatred against the Irish people. The Irish didn't actually send troops to any of these muslim countries whilst they were been invaded. Judging by the way he addressed his speech, Mr Chorduary seems to think that any non-muslim deserves to die as he clearly described Ireland as a 'legitimate' terrorist target yesterday. Really, extremists like him should have been banned from giving speeches like that that incite hatred. The Gardai are said to be 'investigating' his comments but I would imagine that he has left the country by now...

This is what the man said, I don't know what he really thinks. Nor I am defending him.

There are some people who would view Ireland as a legitmate target for an attack because of the Shannon stopover taking troops and Iraq.

So I am saying it.

I think that there are some people who would view Ireland as a legitmate target for an attack because of the Shannon stopover taking troops and Iraq.

Anyone else want to say it also.

I think that there are some people who would view Ireland as a legitimate target for an attack because the Irish are infidels.

Anyone else want to say it also.
