Jump To Comment: 1Thanks Mr. Laffoley,
With remarkable clarity you've cut through to the core of Cindy Sheehan's quest - the unanswerable 'why?'.
The shameful part of all this is the 'counter-blast' of huff, puff and outright lies that occurs when the ultra right gets called on its principles - or lack of them. In no less case what has happened to Ms Sheehan. From duck-hunting practice shotgun blasts, to the caravan of the caring in support of another bereaved mother. This one proud of her son's sacrifice for his country - and, I assume,.his neocon countrymen - who are 'convoying' her down to the Bush ranch.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dubya managed to find some time in his hectic holiday schedule to meet with this latter mother. After all, she doesn't have any questions. So that allows him to better focus on her "loved one", or other important stuff - like lunch or photographs.
