A wine-tasting evening to be held at the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty in aid of children with special educational needs. Led by professional wine-tasters - fun and informative. Admission 10 Euro. Contact: Carmel on 028 3167 or Margaret on 028 31411.

The West Cork Parents Action Group was recently founded by Margaret and Carmel O' Donoghue to address the gaps in provision for children with special needs. The group needs funds to help it set up training and information services for teachers, parents and professionals. An interesting and entertaining night is promised. Sponsored locally by the Letercollum Kitchen Project and the Olive Branch Organic Shop in Clonakilty. An evening with Paki O Callaghan of Bull Island fame is planned for later in the autumn - watch this space!
